Dr. Alsalman – Oakland University
Dr. Alsalman received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Wayne State University. She also holds an MBA with emphasis on finance and accounting. Her research interests are in the fields of macroeconomics/financial economics, energy economics, monetary economics and times series econometrics. Dr. Alsalman has published in professional journals, including Energy Economics and The energy Journal. Her research investigates the effect of oil price innovations on the U.S. stock market and on personal consumption expenditures, allowing for nonlinearity in the transmission.
